"My friend Ed has a camp on Howard Pond and, for the last 4 years, we go up for 5 days on Columbus Day weekend. This is usually a good time for foliage which was at its peak. I took the shot shortly after sunrise when the water was very calm. I was sitting on the end of a 20-foot-long boat dock at the head of the pond. I used my Canon EOS-5D with a 28mm lens. Shutter speed 1/100, F6.3, ISO 400."
