Franconia Notch State Park

The Old Man in the Mountain may be gone, but he's hardly forgotten. The Old Man Museum on the hill above Profile Lake is filled with photographs, postcards, and Old Man memorabilia. Peer through the "viewfinders" and you'll see an image of the great stone face superimposed on the now-barren rock. You'll find similar tributes to New Hampshire's signature profile at the Flume Gorge Visitor Center, where you can set out for a rewarding two-mile hike that includes the flume waterfall and the rock stairs beside it, a slew of smaller falls, caves, and a covered bridge. The cascades are most dramatic in late spring and early summer, but fall walkers get a golden glow from the beeches and birches. [DETAILS]

Omni Mount Washington Resort

In the heart of the White Mountains, discover one of New England's most scenic year-round resorts. Enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and more with a variety of fine and casual lodging and dining to choose from. Make our family traditions a part of yours. [DETAILS]

Notchland Inn

The inn's Tudor-style roofline pokes up out of the thick green of the White Mountain National Forest. (There are also a few cottages on-site.) After a five-course meal, relax with a book or work on a puzzle next to the fireplace. [DETAILS]

Attitash Bear Peak and Fields of Attitash

Take the Scenic Sky Ride, a chairlift that carries you to the top of the mountain, for stunning autumn views. [DETAILS]

I have seen NH as often as I can get there. Conway, Franconia and Mt. Washington are some of my favorites as well as the restaurants. They aare GREAT!!. Pancakes with a variety of syrups and fresh ham right off the bone. Please consider me for a win. I can't wait to get back.
