2009 fall foliage season comes to a close

Colorful leafs aren't the only thing to look at during the fall...
The multitude of colors never ceases to amaze me and always pleases the eye.
Found these Yankee fans at the bottom of a ravine in Vermont.. They're everywhere!
The Witch House in Salem always catches my attention and the two maples outside it contrast is a wonderful way in the late afternoon.
It helps to be on the road early when you want to find great color against a meeting house backdrop..
This shot captures color both near and far..
The color pops up in the unlikeliest of places.
Again getting up early is the recipe for success in capturing scenes in nature.
If we get a little rain during the fall season it can extend the fall season.
Mid October in Meredith NH. (14th) so you can still find good color after Columbus day.

This will be a short missive since today is the last day of Fall (If you ignore the 8 inches of the white stuff outside my window). Tomorrow at 7:10AM you can go celebrate the Winter solstice at Marblehead's Beach Bluff Park Sun Circle.
