You don't have to drive to VT to find Peak but it's there!

Geese swimming in a foliage reflection. My guess is we were on the west side of the Quabbin Reservoir MA Taken 13 Oct 08. I didn't keep good track of where I was on this day since all the roads had wonderful color.

Hi Foliage seekers!
This is a quick Color report To give you point outs on where I've found peak color! I apologize for not getting out sooner but I found the VT color on Sunday and the Massachusetts color came today the 13th.
To start out...
I found peak color on route 7 in Vermont somewhere south of Burlington where we jumped on route 7 (we also dropped over to route 22A for a while and it was great also). We found great, bright, peak color at Danby on Route 7 and peak to really good color the rest of the way south to just before Bennington where the color faded. Route 9 east was faded or into stick season at higher elevations.
In Massachusetts, we found bright peak color around the Quabbin Reservoir. We stayed at the Hartman Herb farm B&B (more info on this in a later entry) and we found color where ever we looked around the reservoir but the one place for great color is on the north west side of the reservoir.
The town of New Salem... Now this IS NOT Salem MA, which is witch central... This is a very quaint little village and I need to narrow it down further. This is center New Salem. I didn't have time to explore north and south New Salem so if you visit them and really like them, send pictures in...
If you found great color of your own drop us a line in the forum and upload pictures in the user gallery (I know I did)...
